5 Stars
A Curse for True Love is the third book in the trilogy of Once Upon a Broken Heart, and the story follows the main character, Evangeline Fox, in this finale. She is in the Magnificent North and has no idea how she got there. She lives in a beautiful castle and is married to a prince. Her memory was erased, and she is doing everything she can to get it back, but her husband Apollo is in her way; he’s “in love” with her and is trying to “protect her.” Jacks is depressed since Eva can’t remember him.
I loved this book so much, I’ve read every book by Stephanie Garber now, and every single one is 5 stars. The writing is amazing, and the plots are always so captivating. I’m always wondering what happens next and breezing through the chapters. I could see myself in Evangeline; she is a dreamer and a believer and is always hopeful. Her character was written so well and beautifully. Jacks is incredible, he has a very complex character. He hates being vulnerable and acts like he doesn’t care, but he cares so much for Eva. He also cares for Chaos but doesn’t show it. He’s also really smart, sarcastic, and funny.
I will literally read any book Stephanie writes. I’m so in love with her books. Her writing style is really different from others, and I enjoy it. Jacks had a character change; he was really hurt and sad because of Eva. Loved the ending and this whole trilogy so much!!
This book was so engaging, and I read it so quickly. I would recommend this book to those who love romantic fantasy, which is a blend of magic and emotion and themes of overcoming difficulties. Anyone who loves adventure and romance would probably enjoy this!
