When Rogers customers across Canada were stranded without connection on Friday, July 8th, Oshawa residents who could not access resources needed for work, communication, and countless other outlets after a nationwide network outage sought connection at OPL locations.

OPL Eliminates Late Return Fines For Children and Teen Library Items

Great news!  Oshawa Public Libraries is sending kids and teens back to school footloose and fine-free as part of an all-new pilot initiative!
Recognizing how important it is for kids to have access to their public library, OPL has decided to eliminate late fees on children and teen library items such as books, DVDs, and games.

Region of Durham Outreach Community Hub to Launch at Oshawa Public Libraries

Oshawa Public Libraries is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Region of Durham to establish an Outreach Community Hub at two of its four branches. The new initiative is being introduced in association with the Healthy Communities initiative and begins August 11 at the Oshawa Public Libraries Northview Branch. Read more here.
