Looking for a good thriller book? Then you have to try A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. It’s a YA novel packed with suspense, mystery, thriller and a sprinkle of romance. I promise this book will keep you on edge until the very end. You’ll keep guessing and guessing.
The book is set in a small town called Fairview. The story revolves around the murder that happened five years ago. Andie Bell, a high schooler, was supposedly killed by her boyfriend, Sal Singh. The story follows Pippa Fitz-Amobi, who decides to re-investigate because she believes there’s more to the incident than it seems. She teams up with Ravi (Sal’s brother), and when I tell you they are literally Sherlock Holmes and Watson, I mean it.
And the slow burn? It was eating me alive.
Ravi is kind, soft, and supportive. And Pip? She’s one of the most intelligent and brave (and sometimes reckless) female characters I’ve ever read about. Even though the book has a slow start, the suspense is always there. I loved it so much that I literally lost my sleep because I needed answers.
When I first picked up this book, I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be such an entertaining and fun read. And the plot twist?? You are NOT ready for it.
So, buckle up and let Holly Jackson take you on this thrilling journey with Pip and Ravi, full of mystery, suspense and twists. I rate this book 5/5.
