Book Review: Chainsaw Man Volume Eleven

4 Stars

Chainsaw Man Volume Elevenwritten by Tatsuki Fujimoto and possibly his best-written volume to date, picks up directly after the events of Volume Ten and is the climax of the entire first part of Chainsaw Man. This volume continues with the rampage of the true Chainsaw Man, no longer bound by the realms of human morality or reasoning. And the continued bloody conflict with Makima, who is now known as the feared and revered Control Devil. Makima, with the goal of being eaten by Chainsaw Man and being rejected at every turn. Along with leading into Chainsaw Man Part Two. Though this volume begins with action, it quickly evolves into a deep emotional story that will hit you where it hurts. I would say even more so than the previous events in Volume Nine of Chainsaw Man. I must also praise the art for just how amazing it looks in this volume. There are three masterfully crafted double-page spreads that are simply iconic and add so much to the depth of the series. Fans of the series are almost guaranteed to enjoy this volume. From the characters, emotion, action, and everything in between, this is by far the best Tatsuki Fujimoto has executed a plot. Overall, I found myself completely invested and immersed in the plot and characters as everything comes to a peak and wraps around full circle. In conclusion, this volume deserves a 4.8/5 due to just how well this volume was crafted and how fun a read it was.
