The thrill and bone-chilling chapters of this wild and rather intriguing teen fiction novel are definitely the best part of the whole read! More metaphoric symbolism could support the overall plot of the novel better, in my opinion. However, I find that the imagery is incredibly intriguing and powerful when it comes to describing the characters' emotions and/or thoughts. Specifically, what is so engaging about the novel is how the author represents the characters, including the speech and delivery of their roles. Furthermore, the novel is an elaborate and spine-tingling view into survival during a confusing and perplexing, also rather suspicious disappearance. As the characters put the pieces of the mystery together, I couldn't stop rooting for a happy ending. The mystery in the setting and plot got me looking for clues in the characters' speech, thoughts, and actions. Of course, I kept a close eye on the Antagonists, who all play a rather significant role. By the end of the novel, I knew exactly what to make of all the significance I found within the antagonists in the novel: Always be cautious of whom you decide to trust; even something spicy can be dressed up to look sweet!
