The book Dragon Assassin is an amazing fantasy novel that follows a young girl named Carmen. She is an assassin in training, but unfortunately, she lost one of her eyes in a duel with her popular brother Corwin. Which led to her being kicked out of her assassin academy. After this, she went down this huge rabbit hole that led to her meeting this dragon named Brax. Together, these two face many dangers, adventures and enemies throughout the story.
I liked this book because, well firstly, dragons are cool; anyone into dragons and fantasy stories should definitely read this. Secondly, it moved fast but not so fast that you can't keep up with the story, and it's just unenjoyable. The book was never monotonous either; it didn't feel like a robot wrote it, it felt like a real author wrote it. There's fluctuation in the characters and the theme. The relationship between Brax and Carmen was also balanced. Brax was funny, and Carmen was serious, which balanced out their dynamic quite well.

Also, a little more about Carmen as a character: she's brave and doesn't give up even if things seem impossible with her one eye. She always wants to prove herself despite being told she'll never get anywhere in life due to being blind and that assassins need both eyes to win.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is into dragons, assassins, and fantasies. It's a cool and pretty fun read and will keep you flipping till the end.
