King of Wrath by Ana Huang is one of those romance novels that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. The story revolves around Dante Russo, this billionaire who seems cold and untouchable, and Vivian Lau, a fierce, independent woman who suddenly finds herself engaged to him without knowing the truth behind her engagement. Their relationship is all about business, with no feelings involved, but as they spend more time together, things get intense in ways neither of them expected. Dante is the ultimate brooding, mysterious guy who’s hard to figure out, while Vivian isn’t afraid to speak her mind and challenge him. Their chemistry is off the charts, filled with tension and passion that practically sizzles on the page. What I loved most was how the romance wasn’t just about the physical attraction; it’s also about the emotional connection they develop as they both start letting down their walls. The whole world they live in is super glamorous, think private jets, fancy parties, and a ton of money, but it’s also a world full of complicated problems, from personal problems to family issues. This book discusses all of these, making the characters relatable. I did find the story dragged a bit in the middle, and some of the twists were a little predictable, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience. Both Dante and Vivian grow so much throughout the book, and it’s really satisfying to see how their relationship evolves from something fake into something real and deep. If you’re into intense, modern romances with a lot of drama and heat, this is definitely a book worth reading.
