The trigger warnings always help me remember what content is in the books I'm reviewing before I start my review. This book contains grief, death, and abuse. If any of these topics make you uncomfortable, please don't read this book. The genres of this book are action, adventure, drama, fantasy, and romance. The book takes place in 17th-century India, and it gives a general idea of the culture during the time of the book's setting and customs. This book follows 2 P.O.Vs of the two main characters, and both of their motives and emotions seem justified in the book, and it kind of makes you want them to succeed. The book makes it feel like you're in 17th-century India with just a bit of magic, which was the most enjoyable part for me!

However, I do have some complaints about this book. The 1st one is definitely pacing. I had to re-read some parts and go back a few chapters because some things were so easy to skip accidentally in the book. My 2nd complaint is that there are too many characters at certain points. I kind of lose the plot, sometimes they don't actually get any explanations or reasoning for their placement in the story. Overall, I would rate this story 16 and over because of the content and the very annoying sexual content that doesn't change the plot. I personally wouldn't recommend the book as much because of my reasons I listed, especially the multiple characters making no sense.
