The Girls I’ve Been is a story about 3 teens stuck in a bank robbery with 2 bank robbers. Together, these 3 will have to find a way to get out. As you progress further into the story, you will also start to learn more about Nora and the girls she’s been with.
This book is a thriller and fiction — filled with suspense as to what happens next. Nora, a survivor of abuse, has learned a lot from the past, using those skills she learned and the help of
her friends, they is able to escape. What I liked about this story is the characters; the characters all have different backstories, making them more unique, and they all played different roles in the story. Even though some of them might not have as much as the others during the bank robbery, they all have a great impact on Nora’s life. Making every character play a role in the story.
Overall, I enjoyed this book more than I expected. I’m not a big fan of thrillers, and I sometimes hate backstories because they’re sometimes boring, which this story has a lot of them, but I did enjoy it. However, I would recommend this to someone who actually enjoys the genre of thriller, because they’ll probably enjoy it more than someone like me. I would also recommend this book to people who are looking for books in the thriller genre or those who want to start reading thriller books. Overall, great book. I would definitely read the second book when I get the chance.
