Addie LaRue is unknown to all, yet all over the world. A mistake during a dark night in 1714 changes her life as she lives a life where no one knows her besides the night. But everything changes after 300 years of the same thing every day. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue shows a life of anger, love and loneliness. The lines of good and bad are crossed as you see what Addie has to do and go through to live her life. V.E Schwab’s writing will have you perfectly imagining the world she survives in and will have you sucked into the life she has lived throughout numerous centuries. I didn’t want to put this book down as I read about Addie’s life and how she has to introduce herself over and over again, you really see how she uses loneliness and thrives in it due to her determination. Addie is unknown to all but one by the end, and seeing her stories of life and her impact on the world will make you love her character and strive to become as determined as she is. This book will trap your attention from beginning to end as you see how her life unfolds. Addie LaRue is a strong female character, and I loved reading about her, which is why this book had me in a chokehold as I tried to imagine what was to come next and hoped for Addie to find happiness. By the end, I feel as if she did, even if it’s not in the ordinary sense. She found who she was and what she wanted, and she fought for it.
