The book Twisted Games talks about the love story between a stone-cold, mannerless bodyguard and the elegant and charming princess of Eldora. Rhys, known for his professionalism while being committed to his job, has been assigned to protect Bridget Von Ascheberg, the royal princess of Eldora, second in line to the throne. He had two principles: to do a good job, to make his clients his utmost priority, and to never get into intimacy. At first, both find each other annoying; Bridget thinks he has too many rules and he is no fun, while Rhys thinks that she is stubborn and naive. Slowly, they begin to fall in love, but despite the fact that love is forbidden, Rhys can't let go of her. Despite not being made for each other, Bridget is taken by Rhys anyhow. But a conflict arises as her brother abdicates, making her the next in line for the throne, leading her to get engaged to another man. Bridget now has to make a decision: love or country? Or both?
Overall, the book is beautifully written with wonderful details, and it is much better than the first book. The plot was less confusing, and the ending was hard to guess. I was surprised by the twists and endings, and the author did a good job here. Some parts were slightly lacking but overall the description and flow were great. I like how the ending turned out, and I love the way the conflict was resolved. Overall, I would give this book three stars.
