The book Twisted Hate describes the love story between a doctor named Josh Chen and a girl named Jules Ambrose, who is studying to pursue a career in law. Since Jules's freshman year of college, when she became Ava's best friend, Josh and Jules have never gotten along and have constantly argued. But one night, they end up having an intimate night out of frustration. Josh comes up with an idea that would be beneficial for both parties, having a simple enemies-with-benefits agreement. The following conditions are no falling in love and no jealousy. But the more time they spend with each other, the more they see each other as something much better and beyond the title of enemies. This love story isn't a typical enemies-to-lovers cheesy romance but rather something dark and unexpected. Both characters have past traumas that have been haunting them to date. Will they be able to heal together, or will they let the pain destroy them and everything they put effort into?
To start with, this book is exceptionally well written, and the flow, dialogue, characters, tropes, and plot are perfect. Some parts were hilarious such as the time when the bartender called Jules "J.R." taking Josh's suggestion. Everything was making sense, and the story was consistent, and I was hooked. I would recommend this book to anyone.
