Wind is the 5th book in the 8th arc of the Warriors series. This book follows one of our main characters, Frostpaw, after returning home from a journey with Nightheart, another main character. She has returned to reveal the truth of Splashtail's villainy, but unluckily for her, nobody believes her, so she spends her time taking refuge in Shadowclan as she constructs evidence against Splashtail and his followers to finally take her home back and restore her place in her clan. While Frostpaw deals with that, Nightheart and Sunbeam deal with their own issues in Thunderclan with Sunbeam's estranged mother, who was exiled from her clan in the previous book, along with the rest of Sunbeam's family.
This book is all right, but I think it suffers from having three main characters. Though Frostpaw's story is well told and compelling, it is dulled down by the boring chapters with Sunbeam and Nightheart. Sunbeam's characterization in this book is a little disheartening to anyone who has read the previous four books in this arc. I find that she does not act how she has been for the past few books, and this puts a damper on the story. On the other side of things with Frostpaw and Nightheart's story in this book, I believe the author does a great job in making you feel for Frostpaw's dilemma and makes her problems believable. Overall, I think this book is good, but it has a few major issues that make it hard to read at certain points.
