By Marcus Kliewer
4 Stars
We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer is a super creepy and intense thriller that had me feeling weird in the best way. I rated it 4/5 stars because it kept me turning pages and totally guessing what was going on the whole time.
The book starts off with this couple who moved into their new house, and then out of nowhere, a random family shows up by the door, saying they used to live there. That’s when things go from awkward to full-on disturbing. It’s one of those stories where you feel like something is wrong, but you can’t quite put your finger on it and the more you read, the more uncomfortable it gets (in a good way).
The vibe is super tense, and I loved how the author made everything feel off without having to explain it right away. You just know something’s up. It also talks about stuff like control, fear, and how people mess with your mind, which made it even more intense.
I didn’t give it 5 stars just because I thought the ending came a little too fast, and I still had a few questions when I was over. But overall, it was insane.
If you’re into creepy stories that mess with your brain and keep you on edge, We Used to Live Here is definitely worth reading. Just maybe don’t read it alone at night, LOL.
