Book Review: White Fox

White Fox is a fantasy novel that tells the story of a young fox named Dilah, who has a dream of becoming a human one day. One day, his parents are killed, and he finds a magical moonstone that could help him become a human. With a map and a bunch of courage, he sets off on a journey filled with mystery, danger and hope.

I thought this book was alright. The entire 'Dilah wanting to become a human' was a cool and interesting topic and could have had a lot of potential. Some of the chapters were really exciting and enjoyable to read, but sometimes it was quite boring and slow-moving. The author had an okay writing style, but it was not anything too crazy.

Personally, I did not feel connected to the story. Dilah's character really didn't ring any deep connection with me since his goals were so much different than some of my goals. He is a fox that wants to be a human, while I am a human. And mix that with the slow-moving middle part of the story, it got quite boring. It was an okay read.

Now, after all that, I would still recommend this book to younger readers who enjoy reading books on fantasy, magic, and cute animals. But for older audiences, especially teens, I wouldn't really recommend it. It's too slow-moving at parts, and the characters aren't easy to connect with, so this book should be read by younger readers.
