Kat Stratford, Bianca Stratford, Cameron James and Patrick Verona are 4 unforgettable characters. I could not name 10 things I hate about this movie. Rather, I can say 10 things I love, adore and cherish…it is safe to say, I am in LOVE with this movie.
We are introduced to Kat and Bianca Stratford, 2 sisters of whom are expected to adhere to their father’s strict no-dating policy. However, he relents and says that Bianca is allowed to date…when Kat does. The catch? Kat does not date and has no intention to do so. Cameron James enlists Joey Donner in a scheme to set up Kat Stratford and Patrick Verona so Cameron is allowed to date Bianca.
10 Things I Hate About You is known for being a classic rom-com. Every scene is romantic in the content but also in the way it is nostalgic. I did not live in the early 2000s, yet I feel like I am brought back to my childhood when I watch the beautifully simple yet complex tale of the Stratford sisters.
I will gladly refer to myself as a romantic. To see TWO love stories blooming AT THE SAME TIME in THE SAME MOVIE? You can count me in. And if you’re like me and love to root for the unexpected couples or love to see the underdogs find their match…this movie is for you.
I would confidently rate this movie a 5/5 stars. I have watched it countless times, likely upwards of 20, and I have never found a flaw. There is no scene I dread nor skip and I enjoy it every single time.
Please watch 10 Things I Hate About You, because it is 100% worth it (in my opinion, of course).
