Movie Review: Daddy Day Care

Director: Steve Carr

5 Stars

Daddy Day Care is a hilarious family comedy movie. Starring Eddie Murphy, Jeff Garlin and Steve Zahn. The movie is about a father named Charlie (Eddie Murphy) who loses his job and is struggling to afford his child's day care, so he ends up opening a daycare center himself. He enlists his other friend, Phil (Jeff Garlin), who also lost his job, to help him out, and together they take care of many children in their community. While running the daycare is a challenge for them, it teaches them about the joys and responsibilities of fatherhood in unexpected ways.

Daddy Day Care is a very entertaining and funny movie with lots of heartwarming moments. Eddie Murphy, with his comedy background, portrays the charismatic Charlie Hilton in a hilarious way. The characters also go through a journey of self-discovery while running their daycare center. The interactions between the fathers and children are chaotic and heart-warming, showing both the difficult and rewarding parts of childcare and what being a parent is like. Daddy Day Care has a perfect combination of comedy and emotion. And it also touches on important themes such as work/life balance, friendship and parenthood. The movie has a lot of humour and jokes that appeal to both kids and adults, making it a perfect feel-good movie to watch with your family. Overall, I would give this movie 5 stars; great storyline, a great cast and great humour. Borrow this for your next family movie night!
