Thanks for bringing the McCallisters back. Given the choice between being alone at home and lost in a big city, I'd rather be alone at home, as I feel safe in my own home. Being at home is safer as you can protect yourself a lot easier than in a big city. Being lost in a big city is severely dangerous as you never know what could happen to you or anyone in the city. Kevin is lucky because he's a very clever child who always manages to find a way out, whereas the average percentage of people fall into sinkholes and can't climb out too easily. City adventures are exciting, but getting lost in a city is entirely different, and you should always be careful of the world around you. Marv's stupidity in revealing the plan to rob Duncan's Toy Chest truly gives Kevin an advantage as he records it with his recorder, known as a 'Talkboy'. Kevin is lucky to have found his Uncle Rob's Apartment as it's the only home he'd be able to enter for protection.
Kevin is more of a hero in this movie as he stops Harry and Marv for a more noble cause. Kevin is once again a clever child for his brilliant plan in setting the traps. My favourite part of this movie is Harry and Marv falling into the traps. In some way, The Pigeon Lady is similar to Old Man Marley, except there were no rumours about her. I love how Kevin and the McCallisters are rewarded with free gifts for foiling the robbery of Duncan's Toy Chest, as I'd love free gifts such as free Thomas the Tank Engine Christmas Ornaments. This movie is iconic and will be for years and generations to come. 9/10
