Interstellar is an Oscar-winning sci-fi movie centred around a supposed future where a crop-eating disease called the 'Blight' begins to consume every kind of plant, all except for corn. It creates giant dust bowls that plague most of the world. The story follows a single father, named Cooper, and his daughter Murphy. They live in a simplified world, where everyone is a farmer, desperately trying to put food on people's plates to prevent starvation. This all changes, however, when Murphy discovers that the "ghost" in her bedroom seems to be communicating with the family. I love this movie. It's my all-time favourite. I love anything science-related, and this movie just hits the spot. On several different occasions in the story, it uses real-life scientific theories to create plot, an example being the theory of relativity. It is emotional, and there are some moments in the story where the tension is so thick that it almost feels impossible to breathe. It feels almost mandatory that someone must watch this at least once in their lifetime. The attention to detail is insane. The mathematical use in this movie was so accurate that it was almost identical to the real-life results. The visuals are beautiful. With the different situations in the story, the visuals perfectly displayed what someone should be feeling at that moment. There is little to complain about the story, since it was just that good, and not to mention, the plot twist feels so unexpected, yet, upon rewatching the movie once again, you can find clues that point towards it. It is a must-watch, definitely!
