1986's musical, Little Shop of Horrors, follows flower shop assistant Seymour Krelborn and co-worker Audrey. During a total eclipse, Seymour stumbles upon an unusual plant that he later names Audrey II, which will only eat human flesh and blood. Seymour places the plant in the main window, which attracts much more business than before. After Audrey's boyfriend's accidental death, Seymour feeds him to the growing plant, and now he must come up with more bodies for the bloodthirsty plant.
I am normally not a musical person, but this film has changed my perspective. I really liked the storyline and the twists and turns throughout. I am no expert on musicals, but this film was amazing. It was very comical and had me laughing at certain parts of the film. The songs were catchy and well-written. My only complaint is that Little Shop of Horrors was a little bit all over the place, but then and again, I don't watch musicals very often, so I don't know how musicals are normally played out. Overall, I like the storyline and plot of the movie. I also enjoyed the songs and jokes that were included in this musical.
I recommend this musical for people who prefer older movies and twists and turns while watching a film. I am not rating this movie a 5/5 because I don't really like musicals, but I did like this one. So, instead I will be rating this musical 4/5 stars. Overall, I would recommend watching Little Shop of Horrors.
