Movie Review: No Hard Feelings

Directed by Gene Stupnitsky

2 Stars

No Hard Feelings is a rom-com film starring Jennifer Lawrence and Andrew Barth Feldman. After finding out that she is about to lose her childhood home, Maddie becomes desperate to pay off her debt. She ends up agreeing to date a 19-year-old son of a very wealthy family. Little does Maddie know, this job may be challenging, but it will teach her things she didn't know she needed to learn.

I went into watching this film, thinking it would be another rom-com that I would adore watching. I was slowly proven wrong throughout the movie. The idea of this movie had potential, but it didn't stick to me like other movies do. I do not agree with the movie due to the on-screen nudity and use of inappropriate language in the movie. Apart from the inappropriateness in the movie, I enjoyed the overall message of the movie as well as some of the jokes.

I normally love watching any rom-com or any movie Jennifer Lawrence is in, but this movie is not what I expected it to be. Following my previous statement, I would not recommend this movie to anybody 15 and under due to the inappropriate content of this film. Then again, this is my opinion on the film, and I don't want to interfere with others' opinions of the movie. I will overall rate No Hard Feelings 2 out of 5 stars because I like the overall message, but not the entirety of the movie itself.
