The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is filled with action, romance and betrayal. This movie is a prequel to The Hunger Games trilogy and follows the characters Coriolanus Snow and Lucy Grey Baird. 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is in the running for the Plinth Prize (given to a student for the highest grade to help them pay college/university tuition), but this year, grades don't matter. This year, they will have to mentor a tribute of the 10th annual Hunger Games. Whoever's tribute wins gets the prize. Coriolanus Snow isn't the richest person in the capital. This drives him to go out of his way to keep his tribute alive, Lucy Grey Baird from District 12. But did he go too far? Was it all worth it i
n the end?
On the other hand, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is very well done in my opinion. It leaves you sitting on the edge of your seat at every plot twist and turn. My only dislike is that you don't get much background knowledge about the characters. Otherwise, during the movie, there is a lot of character development, making it easier to fall in love with the characters throughout the movie.
As a fan of The Hunger Games, I believe that The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is a great addition to the series. I am definitely adding this to my favourites, and I am looking forward to reading the book in the future. I would recommend this movie if you are a fan ofThe Hunger Games movies and book series. This movie is great for lovers of action, betrayal, a little romance and plot twists.
