The Maze Runner film is based off of the novel written by James Dashner. This film follows a teenage boy named Thomas, who arrives in a glade at the center of a giant maze. Once dumped there, he has no memory of his previous life, just like the boys before him. The teenage boy quickly becomes part of the group and later scores a promotion to become a Runner. The only female, Teresa, and Thomas try to convince the rest of the group that he knows the way out.
This movie is action-packed with an unbelievable storyline. For most of the movie, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what would happen next. I didn’t expect how emotional this movie would get. To be fair, I haven’t read the book yet, but after watching the movie, I am definitely adding it to the list of books I want to read in the future. The thing that I look for in movies and a pattern in what I watch is movies with plot twists. I think the reason I love this movie so much is that it has quite a few twists and turns. The one thing that I have a love-hate relationship with is a cliffhanger. What do you know? This movie ends in a cliffhanger, making me want to watch the next movies and read all of the books.
I most definitely recommend this movie. Especially people who are fans of emotional roller-coasters, action and an on-the-edge-of-your-seat storyline. I rate The Maze Runner 5/5 stars, highly recommend.
