Attack on Titan is a shocking and emotionally beautiful masterpiece, with the manga and art by a Japanese artist named Hajime Isayama. Attack on Titan follows the story of a young boy named Eren
Yeager and his adoptive sister, Mikasa Ackerman, who live in a cruel world in a place called the Shiganshina district, surrounded by walls to protect from creatures called "Titans". Eren Yeager's dream as a child was to visit the outside world one day with one of his other friends, named Armin Arlert, who made three childhood friends. Though that all changed when a giant, massive red creature called the "Colossal Titan" appeared over the wall and welcomed a large amount of Titans inside of the wall. As the titans came inside the Shiganshina district, things got traumatizing for the characters. Now, the characters that have dreams and live in a dark world filled with creatures, I find myself more attached to as I read. Especially Mikasa Ackerman; despite the trauma she went through, she continues to fight and stay strong in order to free the world from Titans. I find that admirable; she is such a great character, it inspires me to have a lot of respect for women in real life, and it makes me feel sympathy for the other characters that live in such a traumatizing experience.
There are other manga that make me feel this way, but I will say Attack on Titan has done it for me the most. What I liked was that the story was inspiring and motivated me to be strong. There was nothing I didn't like. I would definitely recommend this to any other manga readers out there who love action and horror. Attack on Titan is a must-read. Rating: 5/5
