Video Game Review: Among Us

5 Stars

Among Us is a multiplayer murder-mystery style game where the goal is simple. Stay alive and figure out who's secretly taking out the crew. Players are either Crewmates or Impostors.

The game is fun because it's so unpredictable. Trust is very hard to have in this game because one moment someone's helping you with a task, and the next, they are blaming you for something you didn't do. It's not about what device you're playing on. It's more about how well you can lie or spot a lie. Playing with friends makes it even better; the emergency meetings can turn into loud arguments with people defending themselves or throwing out random accusations just to survive.

The style is simple and colourful, which fits the game. It's easy to learn and quick to pick up, even for people who don't usually play games. Every match feels different depending on who you're with and how the roles are given out.

One downside is that public servers can be hit or miss sometimes; people leave early or don't talk, which takes away from the experience. And if you play a lot of games in a row, it can start to feel the same. But when it works, it really works.

If you enjoy social games with mystery teamwork and a bit of chaos, Among Us is a great choice. It's fun, highly intense and always full of surprises.
