I had never played an action/adventure game before It Takes Two, or, really, any video game at all. I recently finished this game, and I instantly want to try more like it.
You follow May and Cody, who have a young daughter named Rose. May and Cody are experiencing difficulties in their marriage and find themselves trapped in the bodies of little dolls. May and Cody have to work collaboratively to complete levels and challenges that ultimately lead to the doll bodies being disregarded.
I would recommend this game to anyone! It Takes Two is easy to understand, and new players are able to jump right in! Playing with your friend, sibling, or significant other is a fun experience. You learn how to collaborate and play a game where it, well…it takes two. Since you are dependent on another person to play, you get to develop an even stronger relationship with the person you are playing with!
Personally, I loved the graphics of this game. Having never played video games before, I do not have a lot to compare to, in reference to the gaming itself, but Cody and May alone were detailed to perfection. The plentiful “arenas” or environments they were put in were so detailed that it felt real!
Plus, you get to try out many cool challenges, mini-games and special abilities that are given to the characters throughout the game. You learn how to use your power throughout the level when you have to put it to the ultimate test during a Boss Fight. Intense? Yes. Fun? Absolutely.
If you are interested in video games, what a fun game to play with someone else and/or are new to video games. I highly recommend It Takes Two!
