Video Game Review: Resident Evil 2

Created by Capcom USA

4 Stars

I think the remake of Resident Evil 2 really made you feel those "Oh crap" moments you would have, like when Mr. X is introduced or when you have to run past all the zombies running to the police station. This game has two separate campaigns, one as Leon Scott Kennedy and another as Claire Redfield. I took the liberty of playing as Leon and Claire to review them both. Leon: Leon is THE poster boy of the Resident Evil franchise, and he gets thrown around a lot in this game like a rag doll. Leon's and Claire's stories are the same until they have to obtain a parking garage key. Leon has to find his in a jail, while Claire has to find hers in the Chief's office. The atmosphere in this game is amazing because you never know what's next. For example, when you're going down a ladder, do you expect it to break, or when you're in the sewers looking for a way out, do you expect a 10-ton flesh monster with a giant eyeball to try to kill you? This game, overall, for my first time playing a Resident Evil game, I loved it and would a hundred percent recommend this to anyone scared of the dark and people who like gore and survival horror. I'm going to be real and give this game a four out of five stars just because it doesn't have an easier game mode for people who are playing Resident Evil for the first time.
