Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a 1-8 player fighting game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It brings lots of fighters from all over the gaming industry, characters such as Mario, Sonic, Luigi, and many more. There is a story in the game; however, that is not the point. The point and the fun come from the chaotic and uncontrollable gameplay. The way that the game stands out is because of the variety. With over 80 fighters and tens of stages, every match feels different. Whether you are playing locally with your friends or playing online, there is always something different to do. The controls are easy to learn, making the game easy for beginners, but mastering these controls is what separates the beginners from the experts. The game looks amazing; the characters are colourful and detailed, and the stages are full of surprises (you can also turn them off). The music is amazing; it remixes classic video game music. Although everything is amazing, the game is not perfect. Playing online can sometimes lag, which, in a game that requires quick inputs, makes it frustrating. Also, with the amount of things going on, the screen can get really busy and hard to follow. Similar to the story mode, some people might find it repetitive at times. Still, the game is amazing and is one of the best casual and competitive fighting games. I would personally recommend it to anyone who enjoys fast fighting and lots of characters.
