Your Library card gets you free access to local museums and nearby attactions!
Check out a one-week pass for you and your family to go to Parkwood National Historic Site, Canadian Automotive Museum, The Ontario Regiment Museum, the Oshawa Museum, Scugog Shores Museum Village.
Please note that passes for Scugog Shores Museum Village are available on a first-come, first-serve basis due to its seasonal opening schedule (mid-May to September). Check the library catalogue for current availability.

Available for one-week loans at your local branch, these permits provide complimentary day-use access for one vehicle and its occupants at more than 100 provincial parks where fees are normally charged. Please visit Ontario Parks' Park Locator for a map of “operating” park locations near you and their Operating Dates page to see which parks are open for day-use in your area at different times of year.
Please note: Permit holders will be able to secure their spot before arrival at any park offering advanced day-use permit sales. Park capacity limitations apply. The permits must be displayed on the rearview mirror or dashboard of the vehicle while it is in a park.
Library passes include access for up to two (2) adults and four (4) children to all pavilions, exhibits, daily shows and public feedings associated with general admission access to Reptilia. Add-on experiences tours and feedings not included.
Each library pass provides free admission for up to 4 visitors. Note: During the visit, the pass must be presented along with the borrower’s library card, corresponding library checkout receipt, and identification. Misuse, transfer, or sale of library passes is not permitted.
The pass is valid for general Museum admission and special exhibitions (subject to capacity) only; excludes entry to separately ticketed events. Please check the Museum’s website, opens a new window for hours of operation.
