Free Tax Preparation Clinic
In partnership with the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program and the Canada Revenue Agency, OPL will host a tax preparation clinic from March – April 2026. Eligible individuals may arrange to have their 2025 taxes prepared by a CVITP-approved volunteer free of charge through the Library.
You may be eligible if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation. Information for eligibility criteria can be found on the Government of Canada website. A review of the eligibility requirements before booking an appointment is mandatory. Each person must have all their necessary documents and be physically present for their appointment.
Oshawa Public Libraries will start taking appointments on Wednesday, February 18, at 9:30 am.

The Tax Clinics will be in-person only and located at Jess Hann Branch and McLaughlin Branch.
Spaces are limited and dependent on volunteer availability.
