The book A Good Girl's Guide to Murder talks about a high school student named Pip who is to investigate a murder case that occurred five years ago as a school project. The case talks about Queen Bee Andrea Bell getting murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh, who allegedly committed suicide a few days after her disappearance. But Pip's gut feeling tells her that Sal is innocent and there is someone else out there. So Pip teams up with Sal's younger brother, Ravi Singh, to investigate the murder case to prove Sal innocent. But the more they inquire and solve, the bigger the risk Pip is in. There is someone out there who does not want Pip to investigate the case, and she only has a few months to solve the case.
This book was written exceptionally well, and I was hooked on to every page. The character's point of view and personality were depicted so well in the book. Although I feel that Max's character was one of my least favourites throughout the book I felt that the author made his personality inconsiderate and mindless. The ending shocked me as it was unexpected, but at the same time, I understand where many of the antagonists of each character's lives are coming from. There are many sad parts as well, but the writing is mind-blowing.
