Dr. Stone is a manga and anime series that is set in a world where humanity suddenly turned into stone. With no reasoning behind this tragic disaster, civilization collapsed, and within time, nature took over. Thousands of years later, a young scientist named Senku wakes up from his long-lasting slumber. He realizes that the population has turned to stone and, along with that, he decides to use his clever mind for science and set a goal to rebuild society.
One thing that makes this story enjoyable and exciting is watching how Senku is able to solve problems using the power of science. Whenever he and his friends face any problem, such as making
medicine, building tools or creating old school machines, Senku is always determined to find an intelligent way to fix it. The story mainly targets science-related themes, explaining science in a very simple and innovative way, which makes it both educational and entertaining.
Although the main focus of this story is science and history, Dr. Stone also has its fair share of intriguing humour. Senku's character portrays an amusing personality, whereas his friends portray kind, silly and humorous personalities. This blend shapes the characters and adds more wholesome scenes within the story. Together, they exhibit strong teamwork and friendship skills, and they prove that these skills are just as significant as knowledge.
Overall, if you seemingly love science, history, discovery, and friendship, I highly recommend reading the manga or watching the anime. It's an amazing series to binge-watch/read, as it makes you laugh and teaches you new things.
